1. Introduction

The decision tree decomposes a top level decision into macro-decisions which are eventually decomposed into micro-decisions constituting the leaves of the tree.

The micro-decisions can be classified in different ways:

• Decisions made before and within IS projects;
  • decisions which are usually made before a project
  • decisions which are usually made during a project
• Decisions related to distribution;
• Decisions related to the different views of the IS:
  • the Business Process View
  • the Global Work Practice View
  • the Global Computer System Architecture View
  • the Detailed Work Practice View
  • the Detailed Computer System Architecture View.
