Objectives
ISPL - Information Services
Procurement Library - is a best practice library for the management of
acquisition processes. The acquisition process is the process of obtaining
a system or a service, or any combination thereof. Acquisition management
includes, but is not limited to:
-
definition
of the acquisition strategy
-
management
of the tendering process
-
planning
of the service and system delivery and thus define the decision points
and
deliverables
-
monitoring
of contracts
-
controlling
of costs and time-scales
-
management
of risks
Services
involve any process executed by one person or organisation for another
one. ISPL addresses two types of services:
-
projects,
which aim at changing processes or systems within an organisation. Examples
are system development, system renovation, business process redesign and
helpdesk installation,
-
ongoing
services, which aim at executing processes at an agreed service level.
Examples are configuration management processes, network management processes
and the helpdesk functions.
