Prof. Dr. Rudolf Haggenmueller
Rudolf Haggenmueller, born in 1950, studied mathematics at the universities
of Munich and Zurich. From 1974 to 1984 he was a lecturer (Privatdozent) at
the Institute of Mathematics of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich.
In 1995, Rudolf Haggenmueller was appointed Professor for Informatics and
Mathematics.
From 1984 to 1994 Rudolf Haggenmueller worked at Siemens, mainly in the area
of Software Engineering. Among other things, he was appointed Director of the
"European Methodology and Systems Centre", a joint laboratory of Bull,
Olivetti and Siemens.
In 1994, Rudolf Haggenmueller became managing director of FAST, the
"Research Institute for Applied Software Technology". It was founded on the
initiative of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Board of the Bavarian
Government.
In 2000, FAST's status changed and Rudolf Haggenmueller became Managing
Director of FAST GmbH, with. Bayerische Landesbank and the BMW Group as joint
owners of the company.
Today, the Munich based company provides IT services which include eBusiness,
Consulting and Knowledge Management for Media Design and Software
Engineering. Fast GmbH has about 80 employees from all over the world and
combines long years of professional experience with current scientific
knowledge.
