3. Yet Another Object Notation

In this section, the notation of YAON is defined. The notation provided by UML with respect to nodes and arcs will be used pictographically. Basically, nodes represent classes (or packages), and arcs relationships between classes (or packages respectively). Basically there are two relationships between classes: the client/server relationship and the inheritance (or subclass) relationship. Between packages YAON provides primitives for the depiction of the import relationship. The nodes and arcs are described as follows.
